I just picked up a Mag LED combo from costco. I made sure to get the rebel LED version (if Luxeon models are even still sold *shrug*). I noticed, happily, that this minimag LED 2aa is whiter than my other mag (same) which I purchased from walmart when they first came out with these four mode ones (great light btw). Did I get lucky or something? From what I can tell my older torch is also rebel...
