Just received a late xmas gift today
, it's a turned wood body around an 3AA alimunium (sp?) body. Anyone else seen this light? I'd link it, but I don't think that's allowed. Just Google Jonas Damon Areaware Flashlight and you'll find it. It's very cool and I'm thinking it's based on a 3AA M@gLed single mode, but the I.D. of the body is thicker than a reg [email protected] I'm stumped. Looks like the head and battery tube were glued in and the the wood was turned to give it's final shape. It has a reverse clickly and no focusing ability. Unfortunately it has a plastic lens and it's already scratched, and the wooden outer skin, which I judge as being 3/16" is already cracked. The links I've found said that it's made out of beechwood. I'm hoping that I can epoxy the crack and cinch it tight with a hose clamp to stop the crack. I don't have a Dig camera right now, but can post picts tomorrow. Thanks for any info!! Cheers
