Can a FiveMega AA body be fitted with a lanyard ring?

I just bought a FiveMega 3xAA (3AA) body. The tailcap is fixed and can't be removed. How can I attach a lanyard ring so I can keep the 3AA light on my keyring? (seriously)

Yes, at the head end

The master (FiveMega) replied to my private message:

There is no removeable tail cap and any attachment must go between head and body.

Not the best solution for a keyring light, but at least it can be done.

Good news: Using a 4-inch nylon cable tie, I was able to secure a lanyard swivel hook from Lighthound. I'm good to go!

In all seriousness, securing this long body to my keyring is the only way to guarantee that it won't fall out and be left behind one day as I sit in a public men's room!

This thread is worthless without pics of the actual light and keys. :D
Ouch! "Worthless" sounds harsh, but I'll accept less-than-ideal! I confess, I didn't feel up to setting up a photo. Until I do, I hope this similar setup will satisfy. It's a CPFer's Ultra Stinger attached to his keyring. It was this photo, in fact, that inspired me to consider using a 3xAA body for my keyring light.

All in jest, of course. ;)

A light that size on my keychain would drive me nuts. I sometimes get annoyed by my little L0D banging against my leg when I'm driving.

Do you actually put the 3AA + keys in your pocket?
