Hi All,

This is my first post here, sorry it's about a problem. The Man-in-Brown delivered my Fenix Tk-30 to me today and I fired her up and I don't know what I am doing wrong, but something isn't right.

The light has basically two settings on and strobe. With the head all the way turned in, the light works on full. Once the head is turned more than 2 to 3 degrees the strobe starts and it will strobe until the head is almost all the way screwed off. There is no mid or low setting, just full power and strobe.

It is filled with 4 brand new surefire 123's while I am waiting for the 18650's to be delivered.

Any thoughts? Going on another trip with the Man-In-Brown?

Thanks

Your light is currently in "Hunting Mode." There are three modes as follows:

Hunting Mode:
Head Tightened:630 Lumens
Head Loosened: Stobe
Searching Mode:
Head Tightened: 630 Lumens
Head Loosened: 100 Lumens
Camping Mode:
Head Tightened: 175 Lumens
Head Loosened: 12 Lumens

The instructions to switch mode is here.

Basic it consists of twisting the head from loose to tight to loose to tight in less than half a second.

Hope this helps.

By the way the light doesn't work completely properly on 4 primaries. You lose the 12 lumens mode.

Dude, you rock.

That's what I was doing wrong. I wasn't moving it fast enough, or correctly and I wasn't holding my mouth in the proper position.

Thanks a million. Can't wait until the 18650's get here.

Thanks again.
