SNII will give you a laser beam. The Blaster VI is a narrow spot, maybe 6 degrees or so. I say get the SNII. You can always drop the 30mm right into the head and get the same beam of the Blaster VI if you wanted to.

Soloco, the Blaster VI has a wider beam than the Spaceneedle II, with the SN II bigger spill. The Blaster VI lights up a larger are but with less spill and SNII much better throw with a definite hot spot. Mr. Bulk was right, get em both, I have both and couldn't choose between them. All I know is that they are both 5 watters and are fine examples of led technology.

Yes, L4 is a 5W.
Also, Space Needle II is not the only 5W Mr. Bulk builds. Check out the Homemade and Modified forum. He has some upcoming puppies that will surely be legendary.

The SNII or Blaster VI... depends on what batteries you are going to use. The SNII uses three 123 lithium batteries and the Blaster VI uses 6 AA batteries.

I have both - it's the simple solution. I doubt the L4 will have the throw of the Space Needle 2 but can't prove this.
Both the Blaster and Space Needle flashlights USE 3 x 123 lithium batteries as standard. The Blaster can use 6 x AA with the use of the 3 to d adaptors ( which I'm still waiting for Wayne ).
