I am looking to purchase a flashlight and i want one of the brighter ones on the Cree LED side of the market.

I am at a disadvantage on the price side as i do not want to spend a lot. Lets say $100 +/- $50

My choice is leaning towards this... Lumapower MVP

Just wondering if i have missed something thats better for the price.

I don't really have a use for this, it will probably just be used for general purpose when outside at night.

Mostly wanting a nice wow factor for the price that i can show people who don't know much about flashlights and have them say "Dam thats bright!"

The Lumapower is a good light, a quality light I believe. But you said you are looking for the Wow! factor. There are other lights in your price range that would provide the same Wow! factor for less money, or more Wow! factor for that much money...!

The Xtar TZ50 comes to mind, the MG PL-1, the Solarforce Masterpiece, Dereelight DBS.... I'm sure there are others, too, that just aren't springing to mind.

Not saying the Lumapower is a bad choice, by any means, just that there are others in that Wow! factor and price range...
