What is the purpose, if any at all, of the single notch on the tailcap of the Nitecore D10. Jusut curious.

For the other side of the split ring to drop into the "single notch" ... so it can still "Tailstand" with the split ring attached.
(Of course it has to be the correct size of splitring for it to work)
