New Army L Light Here come the Mods

I just bought one of those vintage looking army lights from the surplus store and I'm going to have to mod it. I've caught the modease from the forums. Beware it's very contagious.

So we are starting with a $6 army L light. I don't know what they are really called some1 feel free to chime in. I wanted to throw a P7 in there at first but I don't have one laying around. So I chose to go with a 5 mode R2 drop in. The battery tube has the 4 fins for 2AA's that I'm going to bore out and make it CR123 or 18650 worthy. The R2 Dropin reflector is a bit big on the top I'm going to try and turn down the OD on the lathe and make it fit without doing to many modifications to the dropin or light.

I'm off to my work for some after hours tinkering. Will post pics and document all kinds of unimportant stuff.
