Rats!!! Energizer 4aa.

I was out and about at Target. I picked up along with other stuff an Energizer 4aa Swivel Head. I got it BECAUSE it was a 4aa light.

Turns out it uses them in 2x2 instead of all 4 in series (just like the double barrel 4aaa I have).

Still puts out a decent beam, but I had dreams of a KPR103 bright light! Oh well.

Do you think that you could modify that thing for straight series, like you could with the double barrel?.

I have an old Yellow one that has a KPR103. The new green ones are all paralell. You may want to look for a 2.2 volt 1.2 Amp bulb designed for rechargeables. The 2x2 is ok for the average consumer, I guess, but the sad thing is even the 4D ones are paralell! Like D cells don't have enough capacity already! I think you should look for a Dorcy Boss with textured reflector for a 6v light.

It's possible to make them run in serial. You will need to open up the front of the light where there is a piece of plastic holding the bulb.
