Default L1 Head at E2e body

Is it possible to put the 1w LS Head unit of L1 (not KL1)to an E2e body and direct drive by a 3.7v 1400 Li battery ?

Thanks, I have tried last night for 5 mins.& found that it was much brighter (around 25%) than the KL1 WITH E2 (2 X SF123).
But I am still worry about this combo will shorten the life of the LS LED - since the L1 head unit become hot !

Longer answer:
If the particular LED in the L1 has a high Vf, it is probably beind driven at or near spec. If the LED has a low Vf, 3.7 V could be overdriving the puppy significantly and you might have some thermal issues.
