I'm looking for the same kind of light (with the cluster of 3 CR123's - RCR123's preferrably) with an LED rather than an HID bulb. Does such a light exist?
Is there an LED version of Microfire Terminator III?

Yes there is. I have the the one (tcr-3) that takes non rechargeable 123a and they also make a rechageable version as well (tcr-2 i believe that is what it is called but i could be wrong. They have them on the microfire site they are rated at 500 lumens and are not quite as bright as a hid but overall a really great light.
