SF M2 clip, sprung?

I have a fairly new M2 (I lost my original after a couple years). I've always carried it in my front right pocket, "clipped in".

After a month or two of carrying my new one in the same position, the clip got bent out of shape. My recollection was the clip was pretty sturdy, but looking at the new one, it doesn't seem to have a lot of spring.

I noticed that the clip is a lot thinner than the one on my pocket knife. Not only that, but the one on the knife is titanium.

Did they change? Is this a defect? Who's going to make a thick Ti clip!?

Thanks,

-john

i've noticed the older clips without the lanyard attachment point are much stiffer and offer a more secure hold when clipped onto something, but the newer clips with the lanyard attachment point don't fit in the clip attachment bracket properly and offer very poor retention.

I would concur with Chamenos that the M2 spring clip does appear (at least to me) to be better without the lanyard attachmert point. I've owned and carried my M2 with the earlier clip and had no problems with the clip bending or becoming looser!
