Anybody else notice that the P61 is slightly less white looking than the P60?
Or is it just me.
I've noticed this on 2 samples.

BTW, as a newbie to this board, I just wanted to say that I love my 2 6P Surefires.
What an awesome tool!

It may be because the P60 is more tightly focused than the P61.

My P61 looks noticibly whiter than the P60 though. The P61 is not as tightly focused but it puts out alot more light, it's hard to tell on a wall 5 feet away. If you go to a large dark room, the difference between the P60 and P61 is enormous.

After about 10 minutes or so of use, the P61 starts to equalize with the P60 and eventually the P60 looks whiter.

What batteries are you using? I have found not all brands can handle the current draw of the P61 which would cause this. My P61's are all noticeably whiter on fresh Surefire's.

Good point.
I'm using Surefire batteries.
But they're definitely not fresh in the P61 lamp.
