So... what LED-lights do the incan-guys have?

I was going through my collection of lights lately, and noticed the fact that about 90% of them is incan.
Now, I am wondering if that's the same with all the people here, on the incan-section of this forum. (I mean, the hardcore incan-guys who are spending their time on this forum for 90% on the incan-section... like me :D)

Do you have any LED-lights at all? IF you have one or more, which ones then?

I'll start:

1. as an "emergency EDC" I always carry a Fenix LD01 Q5,
2. as an emergency-light @ home, I have a Wolf Eyes MC-E Sniper,
3. I have a Fenix P1D and P3D also,
4. and an el-cheapo DX Romisen 1X AAA.
5. Almost forgot the Surefire L1 Lumamax...
6. and U2 ;)
7. and... a Stainless Steel Fenix LD01 for just in case :green:

Compared to the tons of Mags, 10+ SureFires and lots of others (Wolf Eyes, Ultrafire, FiveMega, etc etc) these 7 lights are peanuts in number of the total collection...

Not to mention all the spare lamps and lamp-assemblies I have waiting for firing up, when the old ones finally passed away :mecry:

I'm curious of the answers I'll get! Tell me your stories....

ARC AAA-P on my keyring.

Fenix L1P

SF P60L

various other anonymous P60 size drop ins.

KL-3 head.

M600A.

U2 on the way from a seller on here

BH Gladius.

My own DD 5mm green LED modded D26.

TLE 5 in a MM.

Another terelux product in a 4D mag, that to be honest is terrible.

I don't consider myself a 'LED guy' or a 'Incan guy', it's horses for courses really and I have different lights for different (perceived, perhaps) needs.

Almost forgot - SF Saint, and a couple of dodgy no name LED headlights that have been well and truly replaced by the Saint.

As much as we all love LEDs...there is sometning pleasing about the tungsten lights when you have not used one in a while.

I will say that the colors outside at night look much different, and you can see things a little more natural tint.

Not ready to go back, but I still like them, and will always have some ready to go, at least for now.

Absolutely gotta have some LEDs too! But, I have to make use of warm-tint LEDs wherever possible. It definitely gets you closer to incandescent goodness..

Here's mine:
  • Muyshondt Aeon - in my pocket right now and always
  • Malkoff MD2 M30W w/ high/low switch - best all-around 2-cell LED light IMO
  • SF L1 w/ F04 - modded with Q4 5B by cj mudman - best all-around single-cell LED light IMO
  • Sniper P7 - best biking light ever
  • Milky Project M eXtreme - 4x Q4 5B (M3 head) - great mix of flood and throw and color rendition for an LED
  • SF A2 Low (angry blue, but it works in a pinch - come on koala, let's finish those dumb LED rings...)
  • Fenix P3D RB100 - my first real LED light and still one of the greats IMO
  • NovaTac 120P (olive) - awesome floody, clean beam pattern for indoor use
  • NovaTac 120E (black) - modded with 250 clicks to 120P
  • SF C2/Leef/MCE P60 (warm) P60 - by Nailbender - ok beam, but bright...
  • SF C2 w/ Deree P60 Q3 5A

I have try to cover all the bases, personally. So, I have incans, leds, colored leds and HID flashlights, and fluoro, propane, oil, and led lanterns.

If it makes light, I want one!

:grin2:

Personally, I tend towards led lights with simpler UI's, like Nitecore and Eagletac.

I thought the Phaser had a complicated UI.
'Set phaser's to stun'
'Set phaser to cut through granite rock'

I don't recall them having a strobe setting though, I guess phaser's aren't very tactical?

Actually, my favorite phaser setting for especially heinous baddies is, "set phasers to deep-fat fry".

Plenty of D26 form LED drop-ins floating around. Which means that most of my incan configurations are a bezel swap away from going LED when necessary.

Canada, eh?
Beside my incans (2xA2, E2E, G3), I have:
Surefire E2L, L1, L4, Leatherman S3, Nitecore D10 SP R2 Camo, Inova X1, 2xInova X5's.

Probably the D10 and L1 get the most usage out of my LEDs because they are small and easy to EDC. Lately I've had my E2E and D10 on me all the time.

5-6 Maglite incans vs 2 LEDs*. Hmmm...

(*that would be a Quark MiNi AA and a Quark 123² R2)

I keep either a Bitz-Ti or a Fenix PD10-Ti on my keychain, and a FiveMega 1x26500 or 1x26650 body with SST-90 P60 from Nailbender in my pocket.

At home I have several other Nailbender lights.

FM1909 when I want the job done though.
