Re: **Where\'s the cheapest place to buy surefires?

My experience has been that the best bargains are found here in CPF at the B/S/T
Forum. But sometimes it requires patience. You have to know what you want
and how much you're willing to pay ahead of time.

I agree that the B/S/T forum is great.

Cabela's was one of the best prices I found for E2e HAs when I was looking. I'd recommend trying www.froogle.google.com and seaching for the current cheapest price.

I've noted that ebay generally sucks price wise.

May not be the cheapest but Turners (Brick and Morter) has the SF showcase so you can touch and feel all the SF's. I just went a couple days ago and they had everything from the E1 to the L1, Pretty much all the handhelds but the L4. They had the A2 for $149, L1 for $102 so it wasn't bad. It's cheaper at SF with the LE/Mil discount though.

They had alot of accessories too like the KL3, SC's, LAs, etc. If you have one near you check them out. I think they may only be in Ca though.

We have several great sponsors including Bulldog and Tactical Warehouse that often advertise great specials in the "Dealers Corner" section of this site.

FoxMulder,

Touching is good. I recently visited one of the CPF-sponsor dealers and got
to handle an expensive SureFire. It gives a different perspective.

Where is Turners? Is it local or nationwide? If you have the full name of
the company, perhaps I can find it near here.

It's Turners Outdoorsman. I think it's www.turners.com but I'm pretty sure it's a Ca thing. I walked in there and from accross the store I saw a tall SF showcase. I walked right over there and it was filled with every SF handheld (- the L4) and some weaponslights. Then there was a wall of accessories, next to a Knife Display full of knives....then..argh

Completely off topic.

I'm using Netscape and the text on this thread runs clear across the page, I have to scroll right/left to read it. I don't see this on other threads.

Does anybody know why?

Edit: Nevermind, now I see a superlong URL that I guess can not be wrapped, that is why.

Continuing off topic:

There is a way to put links on the page without displaying the whole address.
It's found in the CPF FAQ at the top of the page. In fact, HERE it is. But
newer members are generally not aware of it. It takes a while to learn about
all the goodies here.

Back on topic:

Thanks FoxMulder, but California is a little far for me. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I simply run a "Froogle" or "Yahoo Shopping" search. You can find some incredible bargain this way..

Ebay. Haggle with some of the stores, like knife-yenta. I got an E2e + 12 123's shipped for $89. That's like the light and batts for $83. Batteries always cost more than Surefire's price of $15. Even if you only take away $15 from that, the light was then $68. Considering everybody sells the batteries for $20, then it is like I got the light for $63. Go haggle with people on Ebay, they are usually willing to give it up for a bargain.

The B/S/T forum and Cabela's have preaty good price.

I think Gander Mountain sell surefire's for list price /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I picked my E2e-HA up at a Cabela's store saving myself some shipping cost.

knife-yenta sells returned goods as new, and has also sold people E2's as E2e's. See Cheers and Jeers for more info about this character. The thread title is something like "Black E2e I didn't think it existed?"

I would not recommend them when we have excellent sponsors here that offer great prices, some will even match the prices you find elsewhere.

You should see some of the feedback... some of it is hilarious.

Most of my lights came from Bulldog. (www.bulldogenterprises.com) His prices are the best I found and I never waited longer than 2 days. He ships same day and is very responsive. Also stocks items not on the website. Highly recommended! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Really? But his feedback is 99%. Bah, well I'll see what the light is like when I get it tomorrow.

It seems he initimidates people into leaving him good feedback by not entering his feedback until he gets a good response from the buyer. Read this for details:

Edit: I'm not saying you won't have a good transaction, just that the guy is a lousy business person and a jerk, certainly not somebody I would deal with again.
