This "Aurora AK-P7-3 SSC P7-C 5-Mode 900-Lumen LED Flashlight (2*18650/4*CR123A)" claims 2960 mA, do you think it's true, or I mean consistent?

Or what about this "TrustFire SSC P7-C 900-Lumen LED Flashlight (2*18650/17670)"?

I read that you need 2 18650 batteries to generate anything near 3600 mA, and so I'm curious, do all of the P7 flashlights that take 2 18650 batteries have a output of around 3000 mA?

What I would like to know most is, does anybody know of a P7 flashlight for around $50(32 pounds) that consistently puts out around 3000 mA?

A P7 with a regulated current of 3A sounds like a Shark driver build. The driver alone is $50 dollar range. Then you need a good hosts and a high bin P7.

The MTE P7 from DX generates more than 3A at the tail with a good IMR 18650 cell and almost 500 OTF lumens, but around 390ish at 3 minutes.

To keep the current stable at 3A it needs to be regulated or Direct drive off 3 NiMH C or D NiMH cells. That is the only way I know that it can be done.

Good luck on 900 lumens for $50 dollars.

I was looking at this light a while back. It has good reviews and should be a LOT of lumens for the dollar...

At DX, it is sku.30683 48 bucks for 1200 rated lumens. Plus, this rating is not nearly as unreasonable as some ratings. It has a comparison VIDEO with a P7 vs this thing.

This one is better for high throw purposes. I know its not a P7, but it has similar high lumens and still a solid spill beam for the money.
