Ok so I just got this light, and bought the extension tube with it. What is the advantage running it on 2 18650's over 2 RCR123's. Only longer runtime, is that it? Or will it be brighter. I havnt got the batteries yet.

Also, anybody want to suggest some good batteries and a good charger that will do both batteries!!! Thanks.

I have that very light. I will have to test it with 2 IMR 16340 cells to see if it does the same or try it with 2 primaries.

I run mine with 2 AW 18650 cells:thumbsup:

Here is what it does out the front:

According to FlashlightConnection, running 2x18650's will only give you greater runtime and no increase in brightness. Jay also recommends using AW brand RCR123's since they seem to handle the current draw well. He also said not to use cr123 primaries with the MC-E pill since they will be driven too hard and could catch fire or something.

And as per batteries and charger: I would recommend AW brand batteries and an Ultrafire WF139 charger. I bought mine from 4sevens... they seemed to be the cheapest with free shipping
