This is my second post and I want to say this is an awesome forum!

I was hoping someone who understands far more than me about wiring could help with the flashlight I am designing! I am trying to wire together 4 leds (3.2v 50ma) to a 9v battery with a switch. The trick is I want to have either two or 4 bulbs on with only a single switch. The switch can deliver power to both legs or to each leg individual (four way switch) how do I make all the volts and ma's come out to get the most power to the leds at all time? I attached a wiring diagram that will works when all 4 LEDs are on but am not sure if it will work when only two LEDs are on, I am worried about delivering too much power when only two are on.

Can someone help tell me how to wire this and what resistors and what not I need.

Part Numbers that I am planning on using:
LED: digikey C503C-WAN-CBADA151-ND
Switch: digikey 513PB-ND (a,b legs independent) or digikey 524PB-ND (a+b)

That looks good to me. Each leg has two LEDs and one resistor that sets the proper current when that leg is energized, regardless of what the other leg is doing. The resistor value is determined by:

R = (9V - 2*Vled)/0.050A
