I've been lubing my o-rings with a product called Syl-Glide, it's a basically a silicone gel. It seems to do an okay job, but for whatever reasons, it seems to wear off fast on flashlight o-rings and I don't even use my flashlights that often. I was wondering what's the best thing to use on o-rings and how often do you have to lube them?

Thanks,
p

Holy Cr_p! I had no idea...it is a whole other science! Thanks for the link.
How I am supposed to know what my o-rings are made out of? I have a NiteCore NDI and a SureFire C2. Like I mentioned, I've been using Sil-Glyde which is listed as better than average, but I sure don't think so.
Also, I remember many, many years ago when Maglights were most popular - either the o-ring was so dry or the wrong lube was used that I never could get that Maglight open.

Thanks again!
