New MagLED Rebel Mod

Have any of you skilled and brave modders managed to swap the LED in the new rebel pills? I would love to put a XP-G R5 in the multi-mode 2AA but don't know if it's even possible.

I guess nobody has tried it. I'm thinking of it because I think the Mag 2AA actually does a fair job of transfering heat from the pill to the body of the light.

I doubt that mod would be worth the trouble...the Luxeon Rebel is a pretty decent LED.

I took one apart when they first came out just to check it out...really you would be left with a lot of damaged parts and bent this or that. I did manage to save the driver, not that I will ever use it.

You could do it if you had an aftermarket pill piece where the led is mounted.
