OK so this is a totally odd question probably....but what, in all of the experts' opinions around here, is the lumen output of a bic lighter. I am not looking to compare it against any of my current flashlights as it is a 360 degree light-source compared to the narrower beams of my flashlights.
So what do yins think??

Don't know the lumens, but when I use mine on high it gets much hotter than most of my flashlights :twothumbs

Thanks, Smurf and Lite, I've often wondered about this before. I've never really thought about it, but I guess I have 4 light sources on me at all times instead of 3.

Some lighters, including certain styles of Bic are more adjustable that most people know. It's quite possible to get about 50 lumens out of one, if you know what I mean.

I bet one of those $.50 lighters from the gas station turned up is as much as a Surefire P60!

Am I the only one who has done this?

Interestingly enough - if you use an aspherical lens - you can get a thrower out of it!!!

I must try this out tonight!

It's at least as good as a Solitaire!!!
