Hello All...

Up for sale a brand new never used Fivemega Elephant II. The color is Black. It is an option D w/parallel cell holder. You can run 16 18500 cells in a 4S4P configuration or 8 18650 cells in a 2S4P configuration.

The original sales thread is here: https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/198029

I will include 16 AW 18500 cells. These are brand new and have never been used.

I bought all these things brand new and have decided to build a different light instead. So now you can have the light along with the cells without having to wait and at a discount! An extra short extension tube is included as well. It is not needed to complete the light, so feel free to do what you want with it.

This cost me over $430 shipped. I am asking SOLD shipped USPS priority via paypal in the US. I will listen to reasonable offers.

This is very cool.
I'm thinking about applications I may have for it.

Help me make sure I'm getting these numbers right.

With these batteries: 4s4p = 14.8v @ 6000mah

What is roughly the max current we can pull from the AW 18500s in this configuration?

That's correct...

you can pull around 12 amps with this configuration. It can run an osram 64623 at full bore for 40 minutes

I use a R/C car hobby charger. That way you don't have to disassemble the battery holder to charge the cells. I believe there are a few smart chargers out there that come with a plug that works with this holder. Those will also do the same job at about half the price. I can find a few choices for you if that will help.

This is also available as a complete light. It would include a soft start 3 level switch, lens, reflector, mag D head, and an osram 64623 bulb. At full power it would be 4500 lumens for 40 minutes. The price would be $450 shipped

chargers for 16 AW cells

I do like the idea of being able to just plug it in. I think a good charger can make a difference in the life span & charge a battery gets. But I haven't played with these cells yet and appreciate the info on whats best for performance.

When you get a chance, please message me a few charger model options so I can price them out. I like the idea of having a working 4500w light to build on if I want to change and upgrade it later.

Thanks,

D

Something like this will work pretty well for you. It will charge the pack in about 4 hours safely and shut off when done.

If it helps you, I can order the charger and make sure that you have the right connector to charge the cells. Let me know and I can give you a total price for everything.
