At 2 A, an XM LED produces 750 lumens at 110 lumens per watt

It's not THAT big improvement but still... :)

but : 2 degrees C per watt is something good too.

Led's are going in the right way :p

I saw somewhere that cree achieved 208 lm/w in labs... let's see how it goes

Im interested into the new MP-L, didn't heard of it alot ?

hmm

there is  NO light with XP-G at the moment, and it ist available for some time.
Why should they all suddenly - and quickly - change to this new led?

PS: of course there are a few crap lights at DX, running with XP-G. And they work good

I think we'll start seeing limited edition lights from Fenix and other Chinese companies by Christmas. Might see these in mass produced lights by spring of next year, just about the time Cree announces their 200+ lumen/watt l.e.d.s will soon be available. I'd guess in fall or winter next year we'll see the 200 lumen/watt l.e.d.s beginning to show up in high end lights.
