Default Photo Time - Ti McGizmos & Their Ti Companions

It took a while for me to complete my titanium trifecta, but I finally bought a watch to match my Haiku XP-G and CRK small sebbie:

Who else totes other titanium tools to go along with their Ti McGizmo lights?

I carry around a Strider, and a Titanium buckled belt. That's as much Ti as I carry around unfortunately.

My Oris isn't titanium, Stainless steel.

All the rest of the titanium I own is on my mountain bike. But what the heck, here are some pictures of it.

The mounting tab for the rear disc brake was recently custom-welded on, hence the focus on the rear swingarm. This bike is 14 years old, can you believe it? But I have to admit, I've replaced all but two parts (not including the frame) at this point.

Thanks! It was my first big purchase, back when I was getting paid with sand as a grocery bagger. I've since managed to get a job that could let me buy lots of nice parts for it.

I figure if I buy good equipment, it won't let me down when I really need it to work right. That's one of the reasons I buy Gizmos.

That is one of the better reasons! I'd rather buy quality once... a lesson I am trying to impart to my kids in this ever-spiraling world of instant gratification. Buy as quality an item as you can afford, and it will serve you well if you take care of it. Better than having to replace it... Wow, that sounds rather rant- like. My apologies!

Very nice Ti set! My pocket set is a small Sebenza and Sapphire 25.

Amazing Proflex! I had one a long time ago with the Ti bar/stem Flexstem. The rear disc mount really threw me until I went back and reread the caption.

In a world filling up with garbage, a rant about buying something good once and keeping it as long as possible is just fine by me. Hopefully my Gizmos will go to my grandkids one day.

Those two pieces are also in pics 4 and 5. They are a Jeremy Marsh Colombian Pocket Knife IKBS flipper, and a Tom Anderson Ti Double Exposure Twister Pen with blue trit in the end. Both MASTERFUL pieces. Thanks for the kind words.

In other news, I still think the LS20 is the best-looking PD of all time. The PD-S is iconic, but the smooth scallops and the collar ring on the LS20 look so much more refined. If the PD ever came back into production, I think the LS20's shell should be the reference design.

I think I totally understand what you're saying, seeing and feeling most of the Gizmo's in person. But still, other PD's & stuffs too good to abandon. Just can't throw them away.

Thanks for the kind words, BigHonu. The coin sheath was made by Dave of Lifter's Leather. He's an admin over at the USN and a good guy. Very nice work.

If you switch every reference of PD-S and LS-20 in the above post, you wind up with my opinion!!

Jason! That would be great if you dropped by! Too bad about the 27. I am sure your wife will miss it. If you come down, bring your spare orange XM. It sent a PM and wants to stay in Hawaii!

    Two can play this game...

LunaSol 27 2AA McClicky one piece titanium body, Tom Anderson pen, and original 6 fluted polished PD with titanium bezel/three green tritiums/orange tritium in the tail.
