Any thoughts on a source for an aluminum (or, better yet, copper) disk about 10mm diameter and maybe the thickness of a penny? Putting an XPG R5 in my L2Tv2 and the 14mm star is too big for the recessed area while the bare emitter would be too short to work properly with the reflector. Should work great with a spacer between the star and the heatsink- just enough to clear the lip.

Otherthan filing a penny down nothing is coming to mind short of begging at various machine shops...

If you can give me dimensions with tolerances, and you're in the US, I'll be happy to make one for you (finally fixed my lathe :twothumbs) and mail it out, completely free of charge. The most expensive part of getting you that part is the stamp on the letter :D

If you have a piece of aluminum scrap, use a hole saw with an inside diameter of appropriate diameter. Clamp aluminum between two pieces of wood.
