700,000 cp

i recently bought a spotlight which is rated at 700,00. is cost S$27($16-$17 US)
The brand is CONTRA international belgium.

However,
they rated it as a 12V spotlight when the batt spec is 6Volt,4Amp/Hr
the bulb is rated at 3.6V 25W.

the battery type is sealed lead acid.
it is rated at 36 charge/discharge cycle. (so little??)
does this batt have memory effect and how come it has so little charge/discharge cycle??

anyone else have this light????

No, sealed lead acid cells don`t have memory effect like NiCds do, however be careful not to discharge it deeply and don`t leave it discharged for long either (about a day at most), or else it will crystalise inside and this will ruin it.


A guess as to why it is rated 12v but only has 6v battery- there is probably a voltage regulator or step-down circuit in there, this just means you can run or charge it in your car for convenience as well as from mains through a charger "wall-wart" plug.
Sorry I can`t answer your other ??s really. 36 charges seems very low to me, that is a mystery, s.l.a`s normally can handle 1000 or more. Perhaps it`s to do with the very high discharge rate?
