hi,

i have been doing some runtime tests with my new zebralight using a 14500 and nimh cells. Mostly on hi. do you think that running the light till it goes dim is bad for the led? does it shorten the lifespan beyond the actual hours used? thx

It won't harm the LED (unless it overheats) but it won't do the cell much good, particularly in the case of the 14500 Li-Ion. Li-Ions like to be topped up, rather than drained before recharging. If you do happen to discharge one all the way to 3.0V - 3.5V, you should recharge it as soon as possible, as leaving it in a discharged state will cause further damage.

thx for the input. I tested it on a drafty window sill, so heat was not a factor. didn't even get a little warm.
