To realize new projects I have to sell this beautiful Mag:
-William Quiles Silver Mag 1D, short cut to fit IMR 26650 or KD 32650 cell, watch buildingthread
-SST-90-W65S-S11-GN100 (Luminus datasheet: 2250lumens @ 9Ah)
-Britelumens SST-90 Deluxe heatsink
-20awg silver coated Teflon wire
-Switch modified for flat-top cells
-cut down Mag SMO reflector, still focusable, good throw
-glass lens

Current at tailcap with not fully charged IMR 26650 cell / 5,8Ah, at about 1750 Lumens!

All parts inside the host are not glued, so everything can be removed to put a driver in between switch and
emitter if you like. For direct driving please use only single 32650 Li-Ion or better 26650 IMR cell.
Even in direct drive this light is really very bright and therefore really small and easy to carry.

Asking for 255$ 240$ 230$ 215,00$ ! (no batteries, PP-fees included), first "I´ll take it", followed by payment gets it.
Please PM me for Paypal-address. Shipping to Germany add 6.00$, for international shipping please
add 19.00$, (without insurance! Please PM me for other shipping conditions).

Thank you & best regards,
Steffen.

Re: FS.: silver Mag 1D SST-90

Very nice light! How much current does it draw?

Hello saltytri,
I updated post one- refering to Luminus datasheet 5,85Ah is at about 175%, this should be about 1750 lumens without driver.
best regards,
Steffen.

Steffen:

That's a lot of light! Wear your dark glasses, even at night.

Thanks for the additional data.

Might sell better if you pumped 9A through it and put beamshots of that MONSTER.

Re: FOR SALE: Silver Mag 1D SST-90 ** last price drop **

Hello David, don´t resist...:twothumbs

@Noctis: I for myself found out, that the SST-90 runs very efficient at about 5-6Ah- at about 5-6Ah I could see a visibliy difference in brightness compared to 3Ah, but the difference in brightness from 6Ah to 9Ah was not really visible to me, but the emitter starts to produce a lot of more heat at 9Ah- So I for myself decided to run the light on saver side and have longer runtime for a single battery powered light.
Best regards,
Steffen

Hmm, true enough. 500 lumens wouldn't be all that noticeable at those levels. But you'd need to get a separate driver to make sure it doesn't go over 6 amps right?

No, because the light is ready to handle full 9Ah with built in good heatsinking, 20gauge teflon wire etc. - The battery itself and its chemistry/ capacity limits the outgoing current ot the emitter.. (...I even could not explain this in german with better words...)- correct me if I am wrong...

Best regards,
Steffen.

You are not wrong. With the way you've built this light, the limit on current is mostly due to the battery.
