Newly Enlightened
It looks like a normal Maglite 2D - until you flip the switch. The output is a MASSIVE shower of light that is so bright & hot it deserves a warning label. This limited production hot rod light, made by our own CPF members, is powered by an 11 cell AA NiMH Titanium 1800 cell battery pack and a 100 watt Osram 62138 12 volt axial filament lamp. It produces about 2200 lumens out the front of the light with a beam that is mostly flood, but with a definite hot spot. It runs for about 10-13 minutes per charge, which is as long as you want to hold it. Did I mention it gets hot? You can light newspaper on fire in less than a minute.
This light was assembled in mid 2009 and has seen less than 10 minutes use. It is in perfect condition.
It comes with two spare Osram bulbs and charging connector.
