Wow, very nice light, Toby!

I didn't know these have been made with SST-50...

Unfortunately, I have no budget left, this shouldn't last long!

I actually own one too. It is just as great as Toby descibes it and it is even brighter using IMR cells (but with shorter runtime of course).

I have been using mine everday since I got it 6 months ago and I love it. I'm not using my Ra´s or my Titanium Quark any more at all. Mike (ArcMania) is great if you have any questions and really stands by his lights, a big plus as far as I'm concerned.

Cheers

Brighter using IMR cells?

Before going rechargeables, I preffered to do my homework and I learned that li-ion musn't be used when the draw is higher than 2C, which would be 1,5A if we speak of an AW RCR123 750mAh. If that little light cranks out 650 Lumen, the draw is certainly higher than that, probably close to 4C. :faint:

This would mean that IMR are a MUST here, not an option. Have you been running your light for 6 months on an RCR without going into grenade mode? Then all they say is either wrong or you have been really lucky. Or did you use IMR?

From what I learned, this light should be MUCH dimmer on a CR123A. I have no idea if it is really safe, but a primary can't deliver such a high current. IMR cells are highly recommended her, both for brightness and much more important : for your safety!

Thanks for the concern about my well being! I've never tried it with primaries until just now because of your post :tinfoil:. It is way dimmer than with RCRs.

I've used both IMR and regular AW cells without any problems. I actually E-mailed Mike and asked before I started using my light which batteries were safe to use.

On a sidenote I very much doubt that the light puts out 650 lumens, I'd say it probably puts out around half of that which is still plenty bright for such a small light. My SF-III supposedly puts out around 700 lumens and it's much brighter than the ME-II although it is difficult to make comparisons since the SMT SF-III is a thrower and the ME-II is a flooder.

Hey guys....dunno what going on here.

But this is my salesthread, and it would be kind, doing such discussions
on another place, or?

This light works perfect either with Cr123 or Rcr123 or an IMR cell.
Mikes light have the best build quality i have ever seen, and this litte
sucker is at least as bright as my Wolf-Eyes Explorer MC-E with 580Lumens.
650Lumens is what Mike told me....perhaps its a little bit less, buts its the
most brightest light i ever had with this size.
And i had enuogh lights to compare.

But thanks for trashing, Lisa seems to be not interested anymore. :green:

It's true, I got scared when I read this, "Have you been running your light for 6 months on an RCR without going into grenade mode? Then all they say is either wrong or you have been really lucky."

Toby, I do not want to go back on my word. I said I will buy it and you waited for me to buy.
I will pay now. I will trust that this light is as safe as any when used properly with the correct battery.
