Do you guys know if there is a 3C light
that uses a PR bulb besides a 3C Mag
(too large).
It seems that all the PT, SL & Pelcian
lights have special bulbs.

I've been studying battery capacities
and it seems that C cells with about
2 1/2 times more amps than AA cells
would be a good compromise of size
and longer runtime.

20 yrs. ago 2C lights where real common,
but today everything seems to be AA or
D cell. So I can't even find a 2C at
Wal-Mart.

There is a 2C at Walmart, though different styling:

Energizer Comfort Grip (fixed focus, top load) and less than $8 US.

Focal point is way too close to the flashlight, though a Versalux PR-2 LED focuses just fine.

Of the Mag type (focusing), I haven't seen anything other than Mag in 2C (or more).

As it is, I have a custom 2C pack on order for my Arc LS.

Heck, check out eBay, as you never know what you will run across there.

There is the Koehler/Bright Star 3C Responder, available at Brightguy.com, which uses PR bulbs. I think it is the same as the Hubbell Lite 3C, which uses the same body as the Pelican model.

The Lowes in our town never
had the Hubbell lites and
the 3C Bright Star is not on
BrightGuy. Thanks for trying.
I wonder if other places on
the net sell Hubbell or Bright
Star?

Thanks.

Rebus,

I have a 3003-c that I am not using. Email me if interested and maybe we can work out a sale/trade.

Rebus,

Been trying to email you with no luck. I just sent you another a few minutes ago. Please let me know if you do not get it.

Thanks,
Danny

1.)I believe that Koehler/Bright Star manufactured the 3C Hubbelite.

2.)I believe that the 3C Hubbelite model was discontinued.

3.)There is now a 2C Responder model available at Brightguy here:

Good Luck!

Rebus,

2D Mag using 3-C cells is a possible alternative. I currently use this setup with the XPR3 3.6V/.85A Xenon lamp originally sold for use with the Hubbellite 3C (no longer in production?) and it works well.
