I was looking at the web site for Eagletacs PN (personal nano I think) AAA lights and am not sure I understand it. It says,

Adjust its precise output level by simply turning the head with one hand.

Flashlight operation: Twist clockwise to turn on, starts in low, continue to twist for high. Turn counter clockwise to turn off, be sure and twist a complete turn to make sure it's off.

Is it like a rheostat switch? It keeps getting brighter until it reaches the max? Thanks

No, the light has 2 levels. I think the low is about 20 lumens and high is 100 lumens OTF. Just twist head to change levels. Has a click tail switch to turn light on and off.
