When did the word "Gifted" become so popular? 
I don't think it really is a verb is it? I haven't looked it up.
Until I came to CPF I rarely heard the word and when I did it was in reference to "gifted children".
Now it's used once or twice in almost every thread I read...."buy two lights and gift the one you don't like to someone else" or "I bought this light and gifted it to my father".
To all those who use this word in this way, did you use it at all before you came to CPF?
