From what I recall reading on here and on other forums, the old 110 lumen X300 is the same as the newer 170 lumen X300. The only thing Surefire did was update their specs and packaging. This came to light (no pun intended) after reports from 3rd party individuals that the units were pumping out much more OTF. This is what I know...
A Surefire vendor on another site is advertising the X300 as a new and revised model. He said he got his information from the horse's mouth (Surefire). Surefire made changes that increased lumen output to 170.
I'm not trying to stir the hornets' nest but I want to be sure proper information is relayed to buyers.
