I need to raise some money for a further acquisition, so up for sale is Download's somewhat unusual HID drop-in for Mag. I purchased it from Download in November 2009 from this original sales thread:

The light is 4300K temp, one of only two that were made at that time. More 4300K HID drop-ins were planned in response to demand but some problem with production has caused an ongoing delay. Bulb is rated at 3,000 lumens for lifetime of 1,000 hrs (I've used this light less than one hour).

Included in this sale are four 32600 "D" size LiFePO4 3.2 V batteries (each 3,500 mA), which have had one full charge on them, and the charger. Other battery packs can also be used to power this thing up.

The head is fitted with a cfromc "mako" bezel in T-7075 (https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/243544), the tail has a Download MagRing (https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/178764) and an Xcape cap, also from cfromc. The four D Mag host and second head required to assemble the module is also included, as is a MOP reflector and UCL (both from Download). The balance point is just behind the switch.

In the interest of full disclosure I had a small problem when putting this light together. If you look at Download's pictorial guide to assembly (check original sales thread above, or click http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a102/udownload/Flashlight/?action=view&current=3-1.jpg) you will see a small connector unit that allows you to take the dropin out for use in other hosts. With this connector tucked into the head down the side of the pedestal it can't actually move, which causes the wire to get twisted when the module is screwed in place. In my case the wire snapped, so I took the connector out and re-soldered the wire in place, which allows for greater freedom of movement of the wire when the lights is put together. Hope that makes sense, I have had no problem since this basic repair.

There are no dings or scratches on the host or the HID module. Asking for $320/£221 $300/£208 $285/£197 $270/£185 $250/£170 all in, less than I paid to import the parts and put this all together. Not looking to part out or trade at this time. The size of this light might make shipping out of the UK expensive, so if you are interested PM me and I can look into the cost of delivery to your address. Please be aware that once the light has left my hands, shipped to your specifications, I cannot be held responsible for third party loss or accidents.

Very tempting way to get into HID's. Other than the tail and the bezel I really like this setup. Too bad you're in the UK.

Good luck with this sale.
