K2 vs SSC P4

i'm getting back into modding a little bit. my inova t1 is in the freezer as we speak! anyway, i'm planning to put a shiningbeam drive in it and a new emitter. can't decide between the K2's or the SSC in the new U3 bin. which would perform better @ 1.4a?

1.4A would kill the SSC P4 or at least turn it an angry blue really fast.

Even running it at 1A requires really good heatsinking.

Between the two LEDs you are considering, the K2 would seem to be the better option.

Doesn't a U3 bin SSC put out more light at 1A than a K2 at 1.4A?

They are very close.

The SSC P4 U3 puts out 260 to 280 lumens at 1A.

The K2 TFFC that PhotonFanatic is currently selling in the MP puts out around 220 lumens at 1A and around 303 lumens at 1.5A.
