I'm ready to pull the trigger on a Thrunite Catapult V2, but I'd like to know which produces the best beam--OP or smooth ?

Going from common sense, I'd tend to go with smooth.

Thanks

mine catapult v2 with smooth reflector.. i like it very much.. no donut or ring.. except for the ss bezel which cause one ring on the outer side of the beam.. but i believe u get it with op reflector too. excellent throw too.. but with op i really have no idea..

i have no intention to change to op reflector even if they offer dirt cheap price cos catapult is built for throw just my 2 cents

If you look on the Thrunite website theres beamshots of the V2 fitted with each reflector.

OP normally has a smoother beam but the SMO reflector is not bad at all. Go with the smooth if you're looking to maximize what the light has to offer.
