Okay, what I'm looking for is either a premade or easily modified circuit that I can hook two red leds to that has an adjustable flash rate. I'm trying to make a pair of glasses that will have variable speed flashing lights for meditation assistance.
Any ideas.
Also, I want to do this cheap. I have a variable dc power source and timer and the leds. I just need a circuit that i can use to get the leds flashing.

This may not be as cheap as you would like 35.00 dollars or so plus shipping, however it seems like a pretty cool product.

Plus you get a microcontroller that can you can use to play with other things. I think there is sound as well. I haven't tried this yet, but I think its based around an Atmega micro kit from adafruit. Mitch Altman has then modified this kit into a brain machine. Here is a little video about it.

and a link to the sale page on make blog

theres lots and lots more links if you start looking around.
Probably a little more then you want right now, but I thought I would throw it in there as an option.
