I don't know the complete biology of the TK12R5.

Will there be any risk of damaging the light by using a single Ultrafire 3.7V 2400mAh LC 18650 battery?

Would be nice to know the technical specs for the driver board and the max handling voltage etc.

Untill now I have been using regular Energizer CR123A batteries in my flashlights.

I thought that maybe an upgrade to lengthen runtime was a must, however I'm a little unfamiliar with all the Li-on batteries out there and need to know roughly what chargers and batteries are a good combination for this particular light.

Thanks all!

Freddie

It's okay to run it on a 18650 battery.

I don't know the specs, but 4sevens website say's to run it on either 2 x CR123 or 1 X 18650. I wouldn't try 2 x RCR123 without further research though.
