Reading the life is worth living post, and pretty much everything that needed to be said was said. But got to thinking about my and my wifes bucket list. These are ours, as they have become one and the same.

Many will be accomplished after I retire...
Finish building my lotus 7 replica
Drive said replica on the Ring
Race said replica in the One Lap
Drive/Ride the Tail of the Dragon again, and again....
Tour England/Scotland/Ireland while staying in Castle bed and breakfasts. Get re-married in one of those castles.
Tour Europe
Tour Australia/New Zealand
Visit Disney
Visit Gatlinburg
See some shows on Broadway

And my own personal one, keep my wife happy and her life interesting.

Nothing really huge or groundbreaking. But, someone said one, that everything cool has been done. To that I say, Not by me it hasn't.

Well Ive done this one numerous times. Great town!

I'll 2nd that...when you go to Gatlinburg, you have to go down the main strip with a sole purpose to visit each and every junk store there is...

...or you can just watch the show cars people drive down the street!

Echo63, we are so alike it's scary,

Your taste in auto racing mirrors mine,
I went to the 1989 Pikes Peak Hill Climb and saw the unlimited Groupe B cars,
unlike anything I'v ever seen,,, crazy fast!!

btw,. I live less than 3 minutes from the main gate at Road America.

Bucket List:
Skydive
Cycle up L'Alpe d'Huez
Heli board Terrace, BC
Tour remote Japan
Kayak somewhere really unique

edit: Realistically, I'll take Skydiving and any one of the others.:)

Being a patriot in the fine state of PA
1. Go to Israel (check)
2. Visit Italy and the remaining historical middle eastern countries (Egypt and the pyramids etc)
3. Skydiving would be cool.
4. Live to see our country's tricentennial. (this is perhaps the most wanted one under Israel. And it's the hardest because I can't do anything about it. I have to wait)

Share your Bucket List.

Tells us about all the things you want to do before you kick the bucket or pass on from this world.

(To be honest, I'm looking for things I can add to my list too.)

Re: Share your Bucket List.

I'm too young to have given this much though, but some things I definitely want to do:
sky dive
paraglide
parasail
hang glide
scuba dive
accelerate at over 10Gs in any direction for a sustained period (might be too dangerous though... >20Gs upwards is fatal.)
die in the most badass way possible, hopefully involving a vehicle stunt and a large explosion (that kind of sounds like I want to be a terrorist lol, think more along the lines of driving a racecar over a hundred foot gap at age 95 :nana:)

Re: Share your Bucket List.

Good thread. I don't really have a list, but here's a few things that could be on one.

See Yosemite and redwood trees
See Yellowstone
Drive a Porsche (or something more exotic)
Get a titanium light
Go into space (I'm sure NASA needs an old photon engineer)

-Egypt
-Greece
-Italy
-China
-England
-Africa
-Australia

Hell, I might as well put every country on my list.

I would like to see a lot of Australia, seeing as I live here, and I've only ever seen the east coast.
I'd also love to travel Europe, seeing all my distant relatives there.
Other things would include:
  • Build a Lotus 7 replica
  • Spend much more time flying, either gliders or powered
  • Buy a motorbike and go for a long tour of somewhere excellent (not sure where yet)
  • Own my "Perfect 10 car garage" (the one every man has)
  • Race some of said 10 cars at Bathurst, and the 'Ring

Others

Race my Mtn Bike in an international race - Done ( 1994)
Others to follow
Considering getting a tattoo with my list and a check box behind each one.
Not yet accomplished
Visit the Mayan Ruins ( preferably on an solstice)
Frances catacombes

I'll edit this tomorrow to add some. Just found it late tonight on my phone
