Recently I've acquired some NiZn batteries and in my MC-10 they seem brighter.

Hot off the charger, I measure my MC-10 with a light meter by bouncing off a white wall 30cm (~1 foot) with a X drawn on the wall. I repeat these test 3 times with each battery and I get
93 lux, 91, 89 - NiZn
76 lux, 75, 73 - NiMh 2600 Sanyo
75 lux , 75, 74 - Eneloop

My MC-10 is the one with the Osram Led.

More torches tested and measured.

New method of measurement, light is 2.10m away from light meter. Light meter is 1.8m from the floor, no street lights, cloudy night.

Battery's voltage off the charger, NiZn: 1.78V; NiMh (sanyo 2700): 1.47V

Fenix L2D Q5, NiZn: 231 lux; NiMh: 192 lux
Fenix L2D P4, Nizn: 178 lux; NiMh: 163 lux
Fenix MC10, NiZn: 244 lux; NiMh: 191 lux. MC10 is a bit of a thrower.

Still to test, TK20, L1DQ5, L1DP4, Olight T25 Q5 Tactical, HL20, H501w, L2D Rebel 100, L1D Rebel 100, LD20 R4, LD10 R4, SC50w. (Not many cloudy nights where I am)
