Fenix LD10 with L2D body. Will it work?

Can I use the head and tail of an LD10 and buy the body of an L2D to use with? I could use the extra lumens and runtime, and where I am located it is impossible to find an LD20 body, so I have to improvise... And if I order it from overseas the cost of shipping will be more than the body!:mecry:

Please, if someone knows if this will work enlighten me!

The current generation LD10 head and tailcap have ACME style (trapezoidal shaped) thread cut into them, while the L2D body does not so hence, they are not compatible. The LD10s with the XR-E Q5 and XP-G R4 LEDs have the ACME style threads.

If you have the Q5 models then the heads will be interchangeable. Got a LD10 Q5 that will fit the L2T and L2D bodies.

It's an XP-G R4. So I guess I don't stand a chance...
