Is there anyway to make a Jetbeam M1X shine red?

I would like to turn this light into a spotlight for hunting coyotes. Is there any type of filter or mod that I can do to make the light red?

I thought I saw a red mc-e led on Cree's website, but since I'm a total newb I am not sure if I could even make it happen.

Any thoughts?

I would swap in a red LED before I'd go for a Red filter. LED's produce very little red, so output with a filter would be significantly reduced.

Exactly what does swapping the led entail? Would it be pricey?

You would be better off buying the Sniper Hawg Lights red Destroyer, and keeping your Jetbeam intact.

In my experience, putting a red filter on an LED flashlight kills a lot of the output. I'm not sure it would be very useful for hunting, unless you remove the filter when you spot a prey.
