Intro
Kilolumen LED setups require a lot of power. But to work and keep working, their energy must be controlled and then directed. Presenting the first SST/50 installed in an M2 bezel, a pocket sized mini turbo head, compatible with 6P's, C2's, and Z2's. A CPF community production: engineering by Moddoo, testing by Sgt. LED

Awesome! Love to see the "official" page. Though I will admit I got all hopeful that this meant there were some available right now. Too bad....one WILL be mine, though!!

Looks great, as usual!

Man, I got high blood pressure now! No budget around, but the head I must have...

I'm glad it's only discussion, could you wait until 7/25 to bring new ones please?

Now for the discussion!

We considered waiting but decided to open this for M2-50 discussion now.

I'm glad you did (though ignore that weirdo who asked you to wait a few weeks....boooooo....hisssss.....)

From what I've read (which I think is just about everything public), this will be a clear home run for you guys. 1X18650 support, 1000(ish) OTF lumens in a NICE beam that will have some serious punch but plenty of useful spill...all in a very pocketable 6P+ size? How can it not be a winner?

If I hadn't just bought a bored 6P and the zeroRez from you guys, that would be the set up I would use for this head. That is, if one can call a flashlight sexy....well, damned sexy. Now I'll stop babbling all over your thread and let someone else get a post in edgewise.

Beamshots comparing this to the '1100' triple and an M60 for reference would be cool to see - very different beam characteristics I imagine.

Can you build it into a user-supplied bezel? I have an older generation M2 bezel, the ribbed version.

You have a couple of unanswered emails.

Thanks for the reply, Dan. Understood.

Production on these is just getting started. When we are further along, we will be looking at a variety of options, among them, old-gen compatibility and and the possibility of installation service. It would likely be conducted in batches, like our bore service.

That's funny Donn that was one of the first things I asked when they told me what they were cooking up.
I think it'll work but not tested yet

Being lazy, I would like to see a turnkey light offered with all the trimmings in various colour schemes.

ie. with Metallic Bezel-ring, ceramic coated body and zero-resistance tailcap, everything pre-installed.

I would find that easier than sifting through all the separate threads or links for each part.

Also I'd rather take one hit on the price and know what the total comes to rather than buying each piece bit by bit.

Beautiful work though.

If there is sufficient interest, we may consider:

6P/M2 configurations in all black HA and/or orange cerakote
C2/M2 configurations in all black HA and/or white cerakote
M2 configurations built out with the original body/head/tail
Z2/M2 configurations in all black HA

I think it'll work too. The two heads look pretty similar inside.

I agree, and would send in a head, body and tail shell for boring, coating and installation of parts.

Are there SS or Ti bezel rings for the M2?

Moddoo has a drawing and somewhere around here there is an interest thread going.
We need more takers so they can get closer to reality.

I'll take one. I would commit to one today. :)
