Anyone have any information about the line if Streamlight lights that run their C4?

What kind of LED is it? Or is C4 a type of LED that SL developed on their own?
Regulated or direct drive?
Voltage?
Can they handle rechargeables? If so, what types, etc.?

Thanks.

I remember reading a post by a fellow CPFer that streamlights C4 LEDs were just any LED that met their C4 requirements

SL was using Cree XREs as their C4 for awhile; I have one in my Polytac. The C4 isn't a specific led; it's their brand name for modern spec leds.

So, is it a lotto of sorts as to which specific LED you'll actually end up with?
