G2L bezel question

Ive got a G2L with the aluminum bezel and i want to know if you can unscrew the plastic ring that holds the lens in? i bought a solarforce replacement that has the crenelation, but i like the matte color of the stock G2 bezel.

My Solarforce bezel rings do not fit Surefire heads. There are crenulated rings for sale out there, Oveready for instance sells them. You''ll need a special tool to remove the ring, and bake it at 300 degrees for 20-30 minutes to get it off.

You can boil it (I did mine in a freezer bag) & that loosens the glue / adhesive.
