What's the difference between the two sockets? It looks like one is thicker than the other. Is there a reason for the option between the two?

Edit: Oh. I think I know now. One is for the regular incand Mag D and the other is for the LED Mag D.

Could someone recommend an ideal battery combination with this setup to drive the sst 90 at 9 amps.
Hopefully for at least 60min runtime. Is this possible with readily available NiMH's?

Thanks a lot

I'm using the original Mag switch. With the driver the input current is lower thatn the output current so that there shouldn't be any problems.

4 Nimh C cells in a 3D mag with a smaller tail cap spring and a resistance mod done to the tail cap.

I really appreciate the suggestions. About how long would the runtime with 4 C's be?

Thanks

You can also use 3x 26650 from batteryspace in a 3D for an hour of runtime. But keep in mind that 9A can not be used without pauses

Would the drivers work with 6v magcharger NIMH packs? They are the same size as 3D.

Thanks!

Has anyone an introduction how to put all in an 4D Mag and which components I need besides the ones which wichtel sells? I wanna put a SST-90 LED in my 4D Mag and use it with the full 9A.

How much room between bottom of heatsink and top of mag switch?

Is the bottom of heatsink hallow to allow more room for driver boards?

Thanks,
