You can add a simple, yet effective battery or pen holder to a leather Mini Maglite holster by stretching a section of bicycle inner tube over the bottom of the holster. See the photos below (shown with an Inova X1 flashlight).

Where did you find that holster? Do want.

I bought a few when Target was clearing the holsters out for $1.48 each a couple of years ago. I haven't seen them at Target since then.

They are made in USA of thick leather and the belt loop features a good metal "pull at the dot" snap. There were 2 versions, one with decorative basketweave tooling and the other (Maglite number AM2A026) is smooth with no decorative pattern. Otherwise, they are about the same.

Amazon sells the smooth finish holster here.

Hangonaminute. Can you post pics of the back?

I may have bought one of those as an Asp sheath.

It's the "pull the dot" snap that sticks to mind - I used that for an Inova XO reflectorized version and an X5 for years.

Added a short section of aluminum tubing and plastic end cap to serve as a pen holder. The pen can be inserted and removed much easier from the added aluminum tube than it can when rubbing directly against the rubber inner tube.
