Sold and shipped, thank you!*****Edit, I am now selling the Makai Complete with Light engine for $475 Now $465 shipped to US. This includes a complete unit. Makai head with its light engine and the 1x123 Ti clicky. You'll have to attach the clip. I have no tool for that. I'll also part out as indicated below, but prices below don't include the LE.
-------------------------

I'm looking to sell two parts of my Makai as I have built another light with the light engine.

I NEED to have both items confirmed sold before asking for funds because I don't want to have an extra part and may have to rebuild it back to original if both don't sell.

The first item is the 1x123 Ti Clicky. It has the clip, but I don't have the tool to screw it on, but the clip and screws are included. There is a knick at the tail as seen in the photo. Asking $150 Now $145 shipped to US.

The second item is the Makai Titanium Head. It has the original lens, reflector but there is NO light engine. Asking $285 Now $275 shipped to US for this.

I guess Don's Le is worth more. Just my two cents. :)

Re: FS: Titanium Makai Parts 1x123 clicky and Head no LE

Does it take a standard Aleph Le?

Nope. It's a special light engine that Don created for this head. Here's what he said on it:

McGizmo said:
The Makai is host to a XP-G LE but unfortunately the LED lead wires require a different exit and mounting location on the MCPCB so XP-G LE's designed for the Haiku are not viable or compatible in the Makai and vise-versa.

Ummmmm, what?

Umm...

What I meant was,

If you're trying to buy LE alone from Don,

It costs much more than (the price of Makai head complete - asking price of $285).

And probably, he wouldn't sell his LE alone, just my guess.

Just to help Lisa's sales. :grin2:

The LE must be compatible with other Aleph/E series lights, that is what Lisa did with it I am assuming.

Hi all, I'm back.
Don's engine is GREAT and I'm having a ball making different lights with it.

Glock, it does take any of the standard screw in type engines that would work in the Aleph units. The emitter for the hole is bigger, so I don't know if that affects anything.

Re: FS: Titanium Makai Parts 1x123 clicky and Head no LE

The Makai light engine is your basic aleph compatible screw in type. Don designed it specifically to optimize the reflector in the Makai head. I have a Dark Zero modded SST-50 BiFlupic in my Makai and it is awesome. I was able to gain spill at the sacrafice of some throw but found a perfect crown for my ti pineapple. The XP-G offers many uses and can handle a whole lot of power when paired with the right convertor. DatiLED built me a super XP-G that went to Fyrstormer that rocked on two rechargables. Bottom line is different strokes for different folks. The new hound dog by Malkoff is the same concept of a specialized reflector optimizing throw also concepeted by McGizmo and Gene together.

Yes, new, it may just be a slight imperfection...not a nick.
