Battery tube caps.

nekomane made a couple E-series battery tube caps for me, and I thought I'd show them off here in case there's any chance Don could be convinced to offer a run of them.



I think they would make an excellent accessory for the 2xAA and 2x123 battery tubes Don offers, and since they're made from Delrin, they should cost almost nothing to make. Heck, they could probably even be rolled into the cost of the battery tubes and sold along with them, if nekomane's estimate of ~$4 apiece is accurate. They do a great job of not only holding batteries inside the tubes, but also of keeping the tube and switch dry on the inside and keeping lube from rubbing off the threads onto whatever's touching them.

Seems like kind of a large, heavy way to carry extra batteries to me though...

It's not just for carrying batteries, it's for carrying the capability to use different kinds of batteries as they become available.
